Four types of packaging commonly available on the market

1.flexible non-air tight packaging:

This is the most economical kind of packaging. It is usually used by small local bakeries because they can guarantee quick delivery. Coffee beans can be used up in time. Beans packed this way can only be preserved for a short time.

2.Airtight packing:

After filling the coffee, vacuum it and seal it. Because of the carbon dioxide formed during roasting, the packaging can only be packaged after the coffee has been left for a period of time to degassed, so there is a storage interval of several days. Coffee beans last longer than ground coffee. The cost is low because it does not need to be separated from air during storage. Coffee in this packaging should be used up within 10 weeks.

3.One-way exhaust valve Packing:

After roasting, coffee is placed in a special one-way exhaust valve. The exhaust valve allows air out but not in. No separate storage stage is required, but there is a slight loss of flavor due to the degassing process. It prevents the formation of rotten smells, but not the loss of aroma.

4.Pressure packing:

This is the most expensive method, but it can keep coffee for up to two years. After roasting for a few minutes, the coffee is vacuum-packed. After adding some inert gas, maintain proper pressure inside the package. The beans are stored under pressure, allowing the aroma to flow over the fat, which improves the flavor of the drink.
